What is the difference between a carrousel and a tourbillon?

A carousel is another complication in watchmaking that functions much like the famed tourbillon whereby it rotates the entire escapement and balance wheel on a axis to counteract the effects of gravity on this timekeeping complication. However, where a tourbillon usually has a single powetrain that powers the escapement and rotate the tourbillon cage, the carousel has a separate powertrain to rotate the entire escapement while another powertrain allows the escapement to function.
